The brown plain dial surround (outer ring) is designed for use with use with all rotary dial GPO 700 series telephones - GPO 706, 710, 711, 740, 741, 746 and BT 8746.
The replacement brown dial outer ring has an external diameter of 110mm, 80mm internal and is available in a choice of eleven colours - black, brown, concord blue, dark green, elephant grey, grey, ivory, lacquer red, light green, pink and topaz yellow.
The brown 746 (8746) telephone was introduced by British Telecommunications PLC in 1982 and the colour is often confused with the more common elephant grey. If ordering brown items, please ensure you don't need elephant grey instead!
